About Me

Born and raised in Southern California, I grew up constantly reading and writing. I was a competitive figure skater throughout middle school and high school, a passion which I continued through college.

While at Adrian College, I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with a minor in journalism. During this time, I debated how to combine my two loves: science and writing. A deep dive with my professor led me down the path of science journalism, a profession that is vitally important in this climate.

In 2021 I received my Master's Degree in Journalism with a specialization in science, health and environmental reporting at the Medill School of Journalism through Northwestern University. While at Medill, I served as an editorial fellow and reporter for Medill Reports

In my free time, I enjoy reading and baking, trying to reach my goal of 55 books in 2021. I currently live in Chicago.
